What is the course about?
Businesses that focus on worker wellness as a priority have low absenteeism and high staff retention rate. This is linked to improved productivity, profitability and a more sustainable business. The course demonstrates the links between good employment practices and operating sustainably.
Course objectives
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- Understand the links between good employment practices and becoming a sustainable business
- Understand the business case for implementing good employment practices including worker wellness programmes
- Describe practical ways to improve a workplace culture
- Implement an Improvement Cycle to support worker wellness in the workplace and in surrounding communities

Who should take the course?
On the farm: The course is designed for a wide range of people including: senior managers, junior managers and supervisors.
Beyond the farm: There are many stakeholders who would gain from a better understanding of how sustainability can be applied on a farm. This includes people working in import and export companies and students of agriculture and business who will be the sustainability leaders of the future.
Course Time
The course will take you approximately 30 minutes to complete. You have 3 months to complete it.
How am I assessed?
At the end of the course there is a quiz which you have to pass to qualify for a certificate of completion. You will receive this after you have completed the course.
